Who are we?
SIAPA Theatre, a pioneering Malaysian theatre company, is celebrated for its innovative fusion of puppetry arts, custom-designed costumes, and sustainable theatrical practices. Our visually captivating, yet environmentally conscious productions seamlessly integrate physical theatre, dance, and flow arts, creating a truly immersive experience for audiences.
Founded in 2018, SIAPA Theatre was one of the few contemporary puppet theatre companies in the country that created and produced performances with mechanical foam puppets. It became our mission to inspire and share the magic of contemporary puppetry to children, adults and the young at heart throughout Malaysia and beyond.
The SIAPA Theatre core team consists of artistic director Helena Foo, puppet specialist Malin Faisal and sculpture artist William Koong.
